Our Mission
Educate, treat, and empower individuals with Down syndrome, and those that help them. We assume each person with Down syndrome is competent and has the ability to communicate, develop speech clarity, and verbal language.

Our Specialties
We are certified Speech Language Pathologists with over 30 years combined experience treating those of all ages with Down syndrome and other motor speech and intellectual disabilities. We focus on speech clarity as the foundation for language development, learning, social connection, and overall health and quality of life.

We are proud to work closely with adults with intellectual and developmental needs in Houston, Texas! The Pursuit Center provides real-life coaching and readiness skills for adults.
We are eager to provide speech and language services to members in their own communities We will accept Medicare and Medicaid and enroll in the Medicaid Waiver program.
Sarah Bookout, SLPD, CCC-SLP runs the clinic locally at the Pursuit Center and works closely with GiGI’s Playhouse in Houston, soon coming to the Pursuit Center.
