I’m Becca
Becca Harper, MS, CCC-SLP, is dually certified as a behavior analyst and specializes in early language intervention for children under 5, as well as assessment and intervention for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Becca uses her background in behavior analysis to help parents, caregivers, and allied professionals identify how to meet the underlying needs behind challenging behavior, increase communication skills using positive reinforcement, and understand how motivation impacts skill development.
She is passionate about coaching families, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to continue nurturing communication skills beyond the therapy session. She is also dedicated to embracing a total communication approach and helping families and individuals discover the methods of communication that best meet their needs.
Because successfully adopting alternative methods of communication with any form of AAC—be it a high-tech speech-generating device, sign language, a keyboard, or a low-tech core board—takes consistency and dedication, Becca offers the necessary training and support to parents, caregivers, individual AAC users, educators, SLPs, BCBAs, and other related professionals through one-time or ongoing consultations. Her goal is to ensure that everybody has a voice they can confidently and successfully utilize to access greater independence and participation.
